Why Is It Called The Piggy Bank

Why Is It Called The Piggy Bank
Did you ever wonder why it the piggy bank? Squirrels store nuts
– so why not the Squirrel bank?
Camels store water – it should be a Camel bank!
Pigs don't save, story, or bury anything
–then why the piggy bank??
In actual, it has nothing to do with pigs. In the Middle Ages,
metal was expensive, and people did not use it much for
ordinary household items. Instead, a common clay,
known as pygg was used for crockery and other indoor purposes.
Housewives would make pygg jars, and whenever they had a coin to spare,
it would be dropped into one of these jars, which they called their pygg banks.
As metal became cheaper, the clay pygg went out of ordinary usage.
Centuries later, when pottery came back into daily usage, the potters made banks
shaped like the pig when requested to make pygg banks. Of course
they appealed much more to the kids and their mommies
– and we became stuck with the "piggy banks".

THE POISON LIES IN THE BONE MARROW.

Chicken wings - Its Dangerous

Avoid eating chicken wings frequently - ladies, especially;
a true story...!A woman recently had a growth in her womb
and she underwent an operation to remove the…. The cyst removed
was filled with dark colored blood. She thought that she would recover
after the surgery but! She was terribly wrong.
Fun
 & Info @ Keralites.net

A relapse occurred just a few months later. Distressed,
she rushed down to her gynecologist for a consultation.

During her consultation, her doctor asked her a question that puzzled her.
He asked if she was a frequent consumer of chicken wings and she replied
yes wondering as to how he knew of her eating habits.
You see, the truth is in this modern day and age; chickens are injected
with steroids to accelerate their growth so that the
needs of this society can be met.

Chickens that are injected with steroids are usually given the
shot at the neck or the wings.
Therefore, it is in these places that the highest concentration of steroids exists.
These steroids have terrifying effects on the body as it accelerates growth..

It has an even more dangerous effect in the presence of female hormones,
this leads to women being more prone to the growth of a cyst in the womb.

Therefore, I advise the people out there to watch their diets and to lower
their frequency of consuming chicken wings!

The Best Body Hacks You Should Know About

The Best Body Hacks You Should Know About
Get rid of an itch in your throat by scratching your ear.

When the nerves in the ear get stimulated, they create a reflex in the throat
that causes a muscle spasm, which cures the itch.
"When the nerves in the ear are stimulated, it creates a reflex in the throat
that can cause a muscle spasm."says Scott Schaffer, M.D., president
of an ear, nose, and throat specialty center in Gibbsboro, New Jersey
Trouble hearing someone at a party or on the phone, use your right ear.

Your right ear is better at picking up rapid speech.
But, the left is better at picking up music tones.
Next time the doctor's going to give you an injection,
cough as the needle is going in.
Studies have found that people who coughed during intravenous injections suffered less pain
than those who did not. According to the British Medical Journal, the act of coughing causes
a sudden, temporary rise in pressure in the chest, inhibiting the pain-conducting work
of the spinal cord — leading to pain-free injections.
Want to know how to relieve a stuffed nose or sinus pressure?

"Clear a stuffed nose or relieve sinus pressure by pushing your tongue
against the roof of your mouth then pressing a finger between your eyebrows"
says Lisa DeStefano, D.O., an assistant professor at the Michigan State University
college of osteopathic medicine. This causes the vomer bone to rock,
which loosens your congestion and clears you up. After 20 seconds,
you'll feel your sinuses start to drain.
Acid Reflux?

If you ate a big meal and you're feeling full as you go to sleep, lay on your left side.
That'll keep you from suffering from acid reflux it keeps your stomach lower
than your oesophagus which will help keep stomach acid from sliding up your throat.
Studies have shown that patients who sleep on their left sides are less likely
to suffer from acid reflux. The oesophagus and stomach connect at an angle.
When you sleep on your right, the stomach is higher than the oesophagus allowing food
and stomach acid to slide up your throat. When you're on your left, the stomach is
lower than the oesophagus so gravity's in your favour. Remember, it is not advisable
for you to go to bed immediately after eating. Wait for 2 to 3 hours.
Bad Toothache?
You can stop a toothache by rubbing ice on the back of your hand,
on the webbed area between your thumb and index finger.
You can relieve a toothache by rubbing the back of your hand between thumb and index finger
(the V zone where the bones of the two fingers meet) with an ice cube. Rub the hand on the side
of the body where the toothache is located. Researchers at McGill University (Canada) have
shown that pain intensity can roughly be halved by numbing the hand in this manner for
about seven minutes (with the effect assumed to likely be due to the interruption of pain impulses
travelling to the brain). The research done involved a small sample size: 22 men and 14 women.
Burned your finger?

When you accidentally singe your finger on the stove,
clean the skin and apply light pressure with the finger
pads of your unmarred hand. Ice will relieve your pain more quickly.
